A bright-eyed middle‑schooler stumbles upon Yoh Asakura, a laid‑back shaman who can commune with spirits and borrow their abilities. When Yoh learns that the once‑in‑five‑century Shaman Fight is about to begin, he decides to enter the contest in hopes of claiming the title of Shaman King, a role that could reshape the world’s balance of power.

Accompanied by his spirited fiancée Anna, the samurai ghost Amidamaru, and a quirky band of allies, Yoh must navigate fierce battles, comedic mishaps, and supernatural intrigue. All the while, a menacing rival named Hao schemes to seize the throne and remake humanity into a realm ruled solely by shamans, raising the stakes for the young contender.
