In a near‑future Japan, society is ruled by the Sibyl System, a network that scans every citizen’s mental fingerprint to assign a “Psycho‑Pass” score indicating their likelihood of committing a crime. Law‑enforcement officers known as Inspectors wield this data to hunt down potential offenders, while former criminals called Enforcers serve as their gritty partners, granted limited freedom in exchange for doing the dirty work.

Fresh‑out‑of‑academy Akane Tsunemori joins the force with an idealistic belief in absolute justice.
