In a gritty, post‑war metropolis where human bodies have been weaponized, a handful of individuals called Extends roam the streets, their flesh fused with lethal technology. The story follows Juuzou Inui, a former soldier whose head has been rebuilt into a gun that can only be fired by someone standing behind him, leaving him with no recollection of his past life.

Juuzou earns a living as a freelance troubleshooter, taking on cases that involve other Extends while navigating a murky underworld of corporate intrigue and street‑level violence. He is aided by Mary, a sharp‑witted young woman he has taken under his wing, adding a touch of reluctant mentorship to the relentless action.
